The North Node shows this life's task: the sign — the quality to grow, the house — the stage where it happens, the dispositor and conjunctions — the guides. We compute the growth vector by code across four axes — creativity (house V, Venus, Sun), spirit and meaning (IX and XII, Neptune, Jupiter), thought and knowledge (III, IX, XI, Mercury, Uranus), enterprise and influence (II, VIII, X, Saturn, Pluto) — weighted by rulers, dignities and elements. The strongest and weakest planets by dignity give the talent and the point of work; fixed stars on the Sun, Ascendant, MC and node give the guiding star.
Motion is a separate layer: age transitions (Saturn return, Uranus opposition, Chiron return, Jupiter and nodal returns) are computed from the birth date, transits and progressions by the engine — so you can see whether now is accumulation, crisis or leap.

Is the North Node the purpose?
The node is a task, not a profession: the quality to grow and the stage where it happens. Calling as a sphere is a separate card where the node meets the MC and the leading vector.
What are the three levels of development?
The same chart is lived differently: if you do not grow — the South Node and the shadow play out by themselves; average — ordinary life; maximum — the node lived, the vector unfolded, the weakest planet worked through via astro-correction.
What is the guiding star?
Fixed stars conjunct the Sun, Ascendant, MC or North Node; their meanings come from the chart data. If there are no stars on the key points, the strongest planet and the node lead — and we say so honestly.
